IC447 Reflection nebula
Reflection/Emission nebula in a rich star field in Monoceros
Uploaded 5/8/24
This
incredibly rich star field in Monoceros is about a few degrees
due east of the S monocerous nebulosities. Filled with golden
and blue stellar gems, we find in the center a pale blue reflection
nebulosity IC477, above it a huge dark nebula LBN895. The large
red emission nebula on the left edge is an enormous nebula Sh2-73
which is the western edge of the S monoceros clouds, and to the
lower left you find a gorgeous rich open cluster Trumpler 5 with
dust dimmed stars that records all yellow in color. Technical
