Cygnus Superbubble Complex
Emission nebula in Cygnus
Uploaded 11/13/25

This incredible region is often overlooked by imagers, as they are quite faint and have no definite boundaries. This series of nebulous arcs were formed by numerous stellar wind bubbles from hot blue stars, and a handful of Super Nova Remnants. The mix forms a region of swirls, bands, filaments and wreaths of nebulosity. It is located on the other side of Deneb from the North America Nebula in Cygnus. Two images are provided that were shot simultaneously. One is with a RASA 11 and a full frame monochrome camera, and the second is a "Context" image taken with a piggy backed lens with 5x the field of view to put the main target into context.
