Ced 214 in Cepheus (Bright knot in NGC7822)

This week I would like to share with you another new shot from our observatory located in Happy Jack Arizona. This is CED214 also known as Sharpless 2-171 in the constellation of Cepheus, shown here in the standard North Up orientation. This object is a bright knot in NGC7822, and the remaining nebulosity is a dim diffuse cloud. Beautiful dark obscuring nebula are contained within, and some intruiging bright rimmed areas reminicent of some components seen in brighter objects such as M8 or M16.
