Amateur Telescope Making The 12.5 inch - Birch Mesa Observatory Astrograph II Uploaded 12/5/17
The final configuration of the 12 inch was a strong thermally inert design with strong corner poles and lightweight polycarbonate corrigation panels on the sides. The new mount made its appearance, an Astrophysics AP1200 which tracked fairly well after a year of fixing its design issues. The rear mirror cell is removable and can be stored separately.

Taken a few months ago, this is the configuration that the 12.5" is currently in. We had the mirror recoated and the secondary as well. Optically it is good, but not quite as good as the 10" which is what we use primarly now. Latest 12.5" f/5 Trifid Photo / Visual
