Amateur Telescope Making The 16 inch - Observatory Mount in Sphere Dome Uploaded 12/5/17
 Once we moved to Payson in 1989, I built a sphere dome and put the 16" inisde for imaging. It worked well, but the dome was not so successful. But it got the attention of Arizona Highways magazine, and they did a write up on this instrument and Arizona sky gazers in general.

Inside the 16 foot sphere, the spacious interior belies the fact that this was a large telescope which required an 8 foot ladder to use. The 16" f/4.4 Sphere Observatory
