 A really fast newtonian can capture an amazing amount of detail in a very short exposure. Here, four 1 minute exposures were stacked in Maxim DL and then the stack was processed in PixInsight. Central to the image is M42/43 and below is NGC1973-77 a blue reflection nebula.
