The
Carina Region from
Paul's
Backyard
Milkyway
and Nebula
Uploaded 8/15/09
While we
only had a few days of imaging that had the half moon in the
sky, this robotic barn door image from Paul's backyard made the
short trip well worth it astronomically. Here, Eta Carina nebula
is seen in the center of this frame setting over the trees in
his backyard. While there are too many deep sky objects to mention
in this image, the star colors are well seen here with an abundance
of yellow stars all over the frame.
This shot was a
significant test of the new Sigma lens. It is much sharper than
the Canon L lens it replaces, and will be a nice lens for wide
field sky images.
