At one locality
only just south of Tucson, we found one small slab with some
rather peculiar bead like fossils on them. They all seem to have
a hole through them leading to the suggestion of being perhaps
a stem ossicle. But being spherical is not typical of such. We
have never found them again, and have no idea what they may be!
Write me if you have any great ideas on this.

view of area of slab with fossils. they appear to me anyway to
be in linear rows laying on the bottom. Small calcareous algae?
Stem ossicles? Forams? |
