 Few hexactanellid
            sponge spicules were found in the Abrigo, even after countless
            hours of examining the limestones and shales under the microscope.
            Here are a few shots of some microfossils which are most probably
            sponge spicules found in the limestones. 


            

              

                
                 Either
                  two Monaxon spicules or a single Tetraxon spicule.  
              

            

              

                
                 Potential
                  Monaxon spicule, grows in one direction.
