This is an initial test shot of the season with Kodak E200 pushed 1 stop with my 5.5 inch schmidit camera. It is a single frame and is not stacked. I took this while waiting for comet IZ to rise at 2:30 am. The image was scanned with a Nikon LS2000 slide scanner at 36 bits and processed in Photoshop 6. The 5.5 inch has a noticable vignette but is satisfactory for portablitity and far exceeds the performance of my best lenses. Instrument: 5.5" f/1.65 Celestron Schmidt Camera Platform: Astrophysics 1200 QMD Film: E200 +1 CCD Autoguider: ST-7 Exposure: 10 mins Filters: UV Location: Payson, Arizona Elevation: 5150 ft. Sky: Seeing 8/10, Transparency 8/10 Outside Temperature: 10 C Processing: Photoshop
