High
Altitude Weather Balloon
over Payson
Uploaded 9/3/07

Just after sunset, we noticed
a brilliant not quite stellar beacon floating in the eastern
sky. Closer examination with binoculars revealed it was a huge
weather balloon up beyond 100,000 feet altitude probably launched
from New Mexico. Here is the shot we took of the balloon against
a deepening blue sky with the 400mm, enlarged in the inset. |
