Late Snow in Payson

Uploaded 3/12/06

The final total for our house 3 miles out of town on a ridge overlooking the Rim was 20.5 inches. Here are some areas at home and around town to show the huge amount of snow we got on a two day period!

Second Day Posting 3/12

Nighttime view, 9pm - lit by full moon and Payson HP sodium lamps. 30 second exposure, Canon 10D, 17mm f/4
20 inches on the Jeeps, took me an hour to clear both off, and another 2 hours to shovel the drive to the street!
Looking from our ridge (Birch Mesa) over the entire town of Payson, mostly hidden by the snow falling.
Payson Lake with a few coots in the water
 Payson Lake, shoreline and coots
Next to Payson Lake, long icicles
First Snowy Egret I have ever seen at the Lake, on a small rock
Payson Golf course, a few days ago golfers played.
Ridges and hills leading up to the road to the top of Birch Mesa where we live
Our balcony overlooking the Rim (hidden), where we measured 20 inches.
Icicles leading to the big melt!
