The RASA requires
a high level of precision in focusing, and by adding this press
on focus wheel, extremely fine adjustments can be made to the
focus knob to achieve very repeatable and perfect focus every
time. It is easily removed, stored in the pocket in the cloth
bag for the RASA and available in the field. No electrical cables,
100% reliable, and always allows manual control.

The
edge is covered with a strip of common graph paper, which illuminates
black in the dark with a red light and allows you to see very
fine focus increments. I usually just do it by feel, and that
is very repeatable. The graph paper is then covered with scotch
magic transparent tape and trimmed. |

The
back of the wheel also includes an optional 1/4-20 lock screw
(nylon) if desired. I found I never needed it, the hole size
rocks on to the rubber knob for a very secure fit. |
