A big part of
building home robots is the construction of parts that are custom,
and cannot be just bought at the hardware store. This is a speaker
grill to protect the 3 inch speaker on the side of the Geobot,
my current robot project. It was printed with PLA and spray painted
gold to match. Works great!

Solid
Works model of the speaker grill. its about 3/8" thick and
has screw holes and a customized logo. You cannot make text too
small with a 3D printer or it will not print clearly. This size
is about the smallest you want to go. It is recessed about 1mm
to be like engraved. |

Mounted
and finished on the side of the robot. You can read more on the
Geobot here. |
